New Ethos Awards Film Documentary, EXPELLED its Highest Honor

New Ethos is pleased to announce that it supports the feature documentary film, EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed, starring Ben Stein, with its mark of excellence.

New Ethos has based its decision on the judgment of numerous established Catholic-Christian entertainment professionals and academia who have seen the film.

The logo [“New Ethos Excellence”] has been awarded based on four main criteria:

1.    Exhibits an overarching spirit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
2.    “God Moments” - Exhibits a strong sense of God communicating Himself to humanity: “Kingdom of God is at hand” and that it is alive and growing, even among the darkness (The wheat and the weeds).
[Matt. 13:24-30].
3.    The film exhibits a quality production.
4.    The strength of the film‘s message warrants widespread promotion to a Catholic audience.

The New Ethos logo is designed to inform the Catholic community that with confidence EXPELLED is a film they should see and support at theaters.  The better the film performs in the theaters, the more will such a film effect our culture and the future “ethos” of filmmaking in “Hollywood.”

God has an important question to ask humanity through this well done documentary, EXPELLED – “If your looking for truth in the world, why not consider me?”  The filmmakers primarily present a revealing account of the injustice done within academia surrounding the foundational understanding of all reality – namely, evolution.

In a country that pride’s itself on liberty and freedom, particularly within speech and academia, college and university professors are losing their jobs (expelled) for relating the origin of things, even if evolutionary, to an Intelligent Design.  EXPELLED insightfully draws a fine line between the parallels of a Darwinian society that expels certain academic freedoms of thought, and a society that is quick to expel certain human freedoms and rights as fundamental as the right to life.  This revealing film is a must see for high school and college aged students of science who desire a balanced education.  EXPELLED is also a must see for anyone who with hearts and minds desire a society of freedom, liberty, and justice for all.

In a global society with an increasing tendency to expel faith from science, literally tearing out the heart of reason, EXPELLED is timely.  This documentary film will undoubtedly draw more attention to the fruitful discussion of how the Catholic Church positively relates faith with science.

New Ethos is a 501c(3) Catholic organization that serves the entertainment industry’s potential to be a major agent of truth, beauty, and goodness in culture.  New Ethos’ mission is one of advocacy of promotion worthy entertainment media, and ministry to entertainment professionals.

Father Don Woznicki, a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, founded New Ethos in 2005.  The New Ethos vision and mission is an inspiration rooted in the teachings of The Vatican II Council and the late Pope John Paul II, an artist himself.

“We want to encourage and applaud those exceptional efforts of the entertainment industry whose genuine artistic intuition goes beyond what the senses perceive, reaches beneath reality's surface, and echoes the mystery of God’s creation.  We encourage the Church to take a more active and committed role in promoting such media to the Catholic community, a sleeping giant of consumer influence.” – Fr. Don Woznicki
