Film Archives Feared Lost - New Ethos Source Says Original Film Stock Most Likely Safe - Fr. Don Offers Prayer

[June 1, 2008, Universal City, CA.]: It has been said that you need to come to Los Angeles, the capital of the entertainment world, to "see and disbelieve." As I emerged from the rectory at St. Finbar parish (Burbank, CA.) to greet Sunday worshipers coming out of morning mass, I wasn't sure what to believe as I looked in the direction of Hollywood's smoked filled sky. Was it another LA fire encroaching on Hollywood or Burbank? But it seemed to be coming from the Universal Studios direction. Were they filming a movie?

New Ethos Attends Screening of TRADE at Sundance

Fr. Don Woznicki, Director of New Ethos, attended the Lionsgate Film, TRADE, starring Kevin Klein at the Sundance FilmFestival 2007 [One of Trade's Premiere Screenings]. Several of the actors were in attendance, including the Director, Marco Kruetzpainter whom Fr. Don got a chance to sit next to during the screening. An intense film that treats an important topic regarding human sex trafficking. The film holds nothing back as it shouldn’t to wake society up to the evils of this abusive reality in the world today.

New Ethos Organizes “Bella” Screening in Chicago

New Ethos & Capstone Film Releasing in conjunction with Metanoia Films held two advanced screenings for BELLA in January 2007 in Chicago (AMC Riverside Theater and AMC Lombard)

New Ethos and Capstone were able to attract over 400 for two screenings that included an appearance by actor Eduardo Verastegui (Jose) and Producer, Leo Severino. Fr. Don was able to break away from the Chicago screening (had already seen the film three times) with Eduardo and Leo and get in a quick game of bowling – I will not divulge the outcome of that game.
