New Ethos is a 501c(3) organization that serves the entertainment industry and it's audience's potential to be a major agent of truth, beauty, and goodness in culture.

Mission

New Ethos supports the entertainment industry and its audience in conveying the challenges and struggles of humanity in all its diversity.  We recognize and applaud great storytelling in all entertainment formats (film, television, videogames, music, fashion) through a Branding mark.


How New Ethos Supports the Entertainment Industry and Its Audience:

  • Honor and encourage select entertainment media and individuals that are artistically and culturally worthy of promotion through our established networks (Faith-based & Secular) for their overarching spirit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
  • New Ethos serves the audience with a Logo that communicates of level of confidence in promotion worthy entertainment media primarily, but not solely, targeted to the massive global Catholic Community.  The New Ethos logo serves the entertainment industry, particularly its media worthy "promoter" in developing a loyal and consistent market base.

How New Ethos is distinct in its "faith-based" entertainment honors and promotions:

  • Market Assistance to the Entertainment Producer:  In collaboration with the producer, New Ethos confidentially reviews and awards its logo to select media in preparation for their market release[Theatrical, DVD, CD, concert tour, etc.].  Under a confidentiality agreement with the producer for reviewed product (prior to release), New Ethos will not disclose reasons for not awarding its logo to a product if it has not met New Ethos criteria (nor disclose to the public which films have been under review).  New Ethos is interested to highlite only the positve in the industry with its Logo.

  • The Selection Criteria:  Involves a community of entertainment experts, theologians, other academia, and the consumer (i.e., help facilitate test market feedback).

  • Diverse Scope of Worthy Candidates:  New Ethos considers product that is not merely “family oriented” or “faith based”  rather all genres of media (rated “G thru R”) are recognized has having the potential to radiate truth, beauty, and goodness. - Showcase
