July 25, 2008 UpdateFrom Fr. Don's Blackberry UpdateOf course I am still here. LA that is. Much going on though you haven't seen much movement of content on our website. Three big woppin things going on!1 - Website design and layout going through some revamping. Hope to have it up soon. Ok, ok. I am not a web designer. Hence, I have needed to consult with others who are, and on a shoestring budget. I got tired of hearing the truth about my web page design. One comment, "New Ethos is about truth and beauty, but its web page is ugly!" Ouch! I can take it though because Jesus loves me. 2 - Ready to launch first phase of a project that will identify New Ethos examples of past films going back to as far back as we can go. Guess we might have to start with Jesus' parables even though they were not films, but man, were they awesome! (not just saying this because He is my boss). We hope to soon post a list of past films for you to gander and get a better idea what we represent and promote. 3 - The Hollywood Project! New Ethos is helping to facilitate a little Church-Hollywood history - a pastoral plan that looks to bring a "ministry of presence" to the people of Hollywood. We are gearing up for a kick-off event on August 9th here in Hollywood that will invite the key collaborators that should be involved in the "Hollywood" ministry. these folks will be from the Church and Hollywood community.
