June 3, 2008 UpdateFrom Fr. Don's BlackberryQuick update. Kicked off initial planning meeting in the OC (Orange County, CA.) for the historic pastoral plan to treat Hollywood as a mission field. This plan will reflect a collaboration of Catholics and other Christians who are working in the trenches of Hollywood to help bring about a "new ethos"in entertainment.This plan will be presented to the United States Bishops for input and approval. Hollywood is just not an LA thing; it is a global thing. The plan is considering a chaplaincy model to studios and other entertainment structures to better serve the pastoral needs of the industry as they do the great work of uncovering another depth of reality that echoes the mystery of God's creation.
